Life’s Little Blessings
By Christina Quick | March 6, 2008
Kids! What would life be like without their sticky, little faces and full-body hugs? As much as we love them, God loves them even more. Enjoy these Bible verses about kids. And then say a prayer for the precious little ones in your life.
From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise… (Psalm 8:2).
See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven (Matthew 18:10).
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well (Psalm 139:13-14).
The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them (Isaiah 11:6).
Jesus, knowing their thoughts, took a little child and had him stand beside him. Then he said to them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For he who is least among you all—he is the greatest” (Luke 9:47-48).
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them… (Psalm 127:3-5).
